It's been about 6 months since my miscarriage... Since then, A LOT has happened!   Over memorial weekend, I ruptured my achilles tendon.  My HCG levels had not returned to zero at that point, & I had to sign a waiver stating that I wasn't pregnant anymore.  Then a few weeks after my surgery I found out some horrible information about my business.  I was forced t ...

Your Time in The Sun Will Come...

Last Thursday night, I started bleeding bright red.... and I started cramping....  I passed a significant amount of tissues and clots.   ....the night before my ultrasound.   I just knew it was finally over. I decided to go to the ultrasound by myself.  I think it was the best choice.  I was still bleeding a lot, and I didn't cry as much as I thought I would. &nbs ...

It`s Happening

I started spotting brown discharge Tuesday afternoon.  Yes, TMI - and I'm jumping right into it, because I'm emotional!  The spotting was very light - only when I'd wipe after going to the bathroom.  Yesterday, it seemed to be a little more, leaving a little on my panties... so I had to put on a liner.  And, it was DARK.  Almost black.  I've never had ...

The Cat is out of the Bag

We had a great weekend.  Josh & I went to a wedding Saturday afternoon, and into the evening.  Weddings are always fun... full of excitement, love, and joy.  Plus, this wedding was for a close family friend of Josh's.  He was a groomsmen. :-) As the weekend started, I kept receiving messages or having people come up to say, "We're so sorry for your loss... and ...

I have arrived to a week since the last doctor appointment & diagnosis...  Mood-wise, I have been really up & down lately.  I think it's mostly because I tend to surf the internet when I'm bored or trying to pass the time.  About every other day, I read happy stories, then back to horror stories.   Tuesday night I pretty much broke down....  I ...

The Waiting Game

According to my first u/s, I would be 8 weeks today or tomorrow.  According to my ovulation date, I would be 7weeks & 1day.  According to LMP, & my doctor, I am 9 weeks & 5days. Yep - a lot of confusion!  I still don't have any m/c symptoms....  It's been a week & a half since my "threatened miscarriage."  I'm feeling pretty conflicted ...

Broken Hearted Can Be Blind

I finally had my follow up with the doctor last Thursday.  We discussed the results of my ultrasound on Wednesday.  Luckily, Josh was able to attend, so we both could ask questions.  Our doctor is very thorough.  She spent an entire hour with us, answering questions, and offering her professional opinion.   We addressed the fetal demise first. She truly believes the feta ...

So today was the big appointment.... big disappointment, really. I was feeling really great....  All morning I was pretty busy.  Taught a preschool martial arts class, ran to Stillwater for an Insurance appointment, then to Woodbury for gas & bank run, and then to the U/S appointment.  I really had a good feeling about today.  Since my tests all came back pretty normal, I ...

Mass update

The last 48 hours have been awful. I don't think I cried this much since my cat died three years ago!  I go back and forth between wanting to be around people and wanting to be alone.  My appetite wasn't very good Thursday.... all I wanted to do was sleep.  When news hits you like that and there is so much uncertainty; it makes you feel like society is so ridiculous. &n ...

God has a plan

Our first ultrasound was three days ago.  It was a very strange experience.  While Josh & I were in the ultrasound room, I mentioned to him that I didn't think the doctor's prediction on how far along I am was accurate.  I showed him my charts & figured at the time of the appointment I'd be only 5 weeks and some days, or 6 weeks.  The doctor thought I would ...
