Pope encourages public breastfeeding
Recently, Pope Francis encouraged mothers to breastfeed their babies during a celebration in the Sistine Chapel. During a special celebration there were many babies and children present. Twenty-eight in total.
When the babies started crying one at a time during the long misery, the pope noted that they might have been hungry and that the mothers should feed them as the Virgin Mary did.
Not the first time
It was not the first time the Pope came out for the right to breastfeed in public. In 2013, when he baptized babies during a ceremony, he also encouraged the mothers to feed their crying babies.
