Father almost misses birth of his son...but for a good reason.
There are VERY few reasons why we would not get angry, if future fathers are not there to support the mothers during the delivery. But Australian father Alan Fritsch did have a legitimate reason.
On the day his little daughter was born, he saved - as a firefighter - a whole family from a blazing fire. Together with his team, he saved two teenage boys from the roof of the house and put the youngest boy in the garden of the burning house in safety. The father, who was still in the house, was rescued by Alan.
What he did not know was that his wife would receive an emergency Cesarean during his heroic action. Immediately after all family members had been brought to safety, he was informed that his wife would undergo caesarean section. He reached the hospital at the last minute, to be at the birth of his daughter Paige. Fortunately, everything went well with his own family. What a day!
