The best thing about the name Rohan:
I'm an English white guy so it's unexpected. It is uncommon and a strong name. People remember it. I love my name!
What's not so good:
Mispelling, mispronounciation.
Extra information
It's spoken as 'Rowan' and so confuses idiots. I'm not a tree! It's a decent judge of a man if you tell him how to say it and he keeps fluffing after explanations. It's either that he doesn't care, is ignorant and rude or that he is just plain old stupid if he can't manage it in his mind. Handy. I have never met another Rohan but I hear they exist. I am complimented on it fairly often, too.
'Ro-han' with the hard 'h' is also fine and more common but more so in Asian cultures. Lord of the Rings popularised the pronunciation more in the Western and English speaking world. It's a fantastic name but let's keep it that way. Don't call your kids Rohan, please! It's mine!
