Your pregnancy at 28 weeks
What's happening with mum
As well as pressure on your digestive system, causing bloating, constipation and heartburn you might also find yourself developing or suffering more from Hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids are painful, swollen veins in the anus and rectum which develop most commonly in the third trimester of pregnancy. They are often caused by constipation, the straining to have a bowel movement irritates and swells the veins.
The pressure exerted by your growing baby, especially on the large veins behind your uterus can also controbute to hemorrhoids.
What's happening with baby
Baby now weighs around 2.5 lbs and will measure approximately 15 to 16 inches long.
In this third trimester baby will double or even treble their weight as fat deposits continue to form under the skin in preparation for the birth.
As baby grows there will be more pressure on your bladder, nerves, muscles and as he gains strength those punches, kicks and twists will definitely be more powerful.
If you are 29 pregnant your due date is from Saturday, 8 June 2024 through Friday, 14 June 2024.
