If your child is not already potty trained, you should begin looking for signs of physical readiness that include being able to follow directions, being uncomfortable in dirty pants, verbally expressing the need to urinate or defecate and being interested in the toilet or potty chair. Encourage your child to use the potty at set intervals during the day or when you notice physical signs, such as squirming, crossed legs or the `potty dance.` Be consistent and patient for best results....
